Bulk Amiga sale in Canberra, Australia
« on: February 04, 2011, 01:12:14 PM »
Heya folks,

I've got pressing financial strains & other hobbies, so thinking of bailing out of the Amiga scene for a while.

There are heaps of little odds & ends, but here are the main things:

B2000:
http://eab.abime.net/album.php?albumid=277
http://eab.abime.net/album.php?albumid=276

A1200 with Indi 1200 AGA, ZIP drive, 2x FDD, buffered IDE, Blizzard 1230 w/FPU, PS/2 mouse & keyboard adaptors, DVD, 128mb RAM & more in a partially-completed but fully functional tower.

A1000 in very clean shape, with right-angle plugged mouse + A2000 etc KB adaptor cable.

A2000 rev 4(?) with super-clean mobo & 512k expansion.

Beyond these, I've got a few NOS mice, a couple of 2000 keyboards in various conditions, loads of RAM (various types), small & tall FDDs, external FDDs, cables, plugs, interfaces, software, a cased Efika...the list goes on......& on!

Anyway, if you are genuinely interested & CAPABLE OF COLLECTING FROM (or arranging collection from) CANBERRA in AUSTRALIA, please let me know

I can sort through all of this more thoroughly for genuinely interested parties.

As for the machines listed above...I'd rather sell as complete, so please don't ask me to part them out...unless it's really worth my while.

Anyway, interest & offers appreciated, I'm not looking to make an eBay-type killing on this stuff!

Really, I'd like to sell everything in one go, so don't be shy...if you can make it here, ask me! Bring the trailer, bring the wife & save!

PZ.

How much would you be looking to get for a tall (i.e. A2000-style) internal floppy, shipped to the US? I could use one, since my 2000 seems convinced it has a second drive anyway...
Computers: Amiga 1200, DEC VAXStation 4000/60, DEC MicroPDP-11/73
Synthesizers: Roland JX-10/MT-32/D-10, Oberheim Matrix-6, Yamaha DX7/FB-01, Korg MS-20 Mini, Ensoniq Mirage/SQ-80, Sequential Circuits Prophet-600, Hohner String Performer

What mobo is in your 2000? It could be easily fixed with jumpers (depending on revision).

I'm not sure on the shipping costs at all (remember, I said LOCAL only), BUT... I've got one you can have for postage only...you'll have to do the pricing research...that's the price of a free drive :)

Damn i'd love to have some of your stuff! But you never mentioned how much you would sell it for...

I particularly like your A1200...

I don't even have a single miggy at the moment so i'll take anything. Also i live in Newcastle and don't drive    :)

Maybe i'm interested...

Key there Kesa,

I've parted out the A1200 & it's guts are now on eBay.

Have also received an offer on what I've got left, now in negotiation.

If that fails & you really do need any Amiga you can get, I can sell you either the A2000 or A1000...however I've opted to keep the B2000 (at least for now).

Yep just saw it. Where's the A1200?  ;)

Hard choice between the A1000 and the A2000 though...

Assuming you did sell them how much?

A1200 is right there in the eBay link you posted...

Nah, 1000 & 2000 not sold yet, still waiting on a reply from the interested party.

Again, if he doesn't buy them, you've got whichever one you want...not willing to say a price right now since I'm in negotiation with someone on the lot, but if they are still available, you'll get one cheap dude ;)

You could have both of them for less than that!

If he doesn't reply soon, you win man, you are obviously suffering from Miggy withdrawal!

*Edit* - Erm, I can't see Apple providing warantee on a second hand & jailbroken iPhone...beware! :(

Correction. Even if it was new they wouldn't give you your warranty anyway! Buying a jailbroken Apple product is one of my ways of fighting the system (my other way is hacking Windows7). F**k the system!

You think it's overpriced? If you know of a better offer please let me know. Otherwise i think it seems a good deal. I'm not keen on a plan either.

You see other people going crazy spending hundreds of $ on iphones that are clearly approaching their use by dates.

Today i saw several people spend upwards of $300 on iphones that were 2 years old and were cracked/scratched to hell. At least the phone i'm looking at is new :)
