WB 3.x Rainbow background effect

Hi all,

I remember 15 old years ago walking into my friends room with his brand new a1200, he had basically a rainbow effect backdrop on his WB.  

Just wondering how to achieve this effect?

Cheap and easy way is to use the Copper to change the color of each scan line. Same method as you can use on an 8-bit Atari.

Copper Daemon is great. Mr Copper usually crashes my computer.

Speaking of this, i would like to know why there is no such prog for ecs machines? And would it be possible to have such an effect on RTG (with more colors)?

Seems to be for wb 1.x only, not specificaly ECS.

Maybe it's time someone wrote a new Copper program with lots of options that runs on OCS, ECS and AGA machines. Is anyone up for the challenge?

Wow thanks for the great response guys!

From memory,  the words 'Magic' and 'Copper' comes to mind.

Perhaps its MagicCopper.   I always assumed it was MagicWB. My friend did have some additional program that came with his A1200, think was a option from the particular computer store..

Now I just have to navigate my way around all the different workbench looks and feels. ie. MagicWB, Scala, etc..  

For me, I would prefer nice and clean WB with some funky 'not over the top' icons and with the copper background :)

Test out all the different copper programs..

Copper-Demon was the one!!!   Whoaoa looks pretty.

I had one of these apps for my kickstart 2.1 A500, I thought it was CopperDeamon but that seems to be AGA-only..  Maybe it was MagicCopper..
