Help with patching scsi.device
« on: January 26, 2011, 01:02:44 PM »
Hi All,

Currently I have a 120GB 2.5" IDE hdd connected to my pccceee working under WinUAE.

i've so far have done a fresh WB 3.1 install.

Now I would like to patch it for large disk support.  ie 120GB :)  Just need a little help.

So I've downloaded the following from Aminet -

exec.library v45.23 for all Amiga Classics   - http://aminet.net/package/util/libs/execlibrary.lha

This includes the updated scsi.device, etc..

I've downloaded Spatcher from Aminet - http://aminet.net/package/util/wb/Spatcher1_0

When i try to apply the cmd - SetPatch v44.40 : spatch -oC:SetPatch -psp_4440.pch C:SetPatch_ori

It basically comes  up with incorrect spatch version.  Using version 6.5 of spatch..

Havent found any other versions on aminet.. d'oh.

I guess theres a few ways of patching the OS, taking time to get use to Amiga environment after soo long.

Cheers that did the trick.

I have alot to learn, feel like suddenly hit a brick wall and relearning all the old amiga cmds and stuff.
