Greetings from the UK
« on: January 20, 2011, 09:57:01 AM »
Hi all.

After playing around with WinUAE for a couple of years, I've decided to dig my old Amigas (One A600HD KS2.05, One A1200 KS3.0/030 50Mhz/8Meg Fast/6.4Gb HDD - which i'm substiuting for CF adapter and 4Gb CF Card) and revive both - although finding room for them (and an Atari XEGS) in the back bedroom is proving difficult for the wife to handle!

I've got a CDTV and a CD32 kicking around somewhere just where, I'm not sure :)

At the moment I'm having great fun with WinUAE on a PC - Installing Amiga OS 3.1 on a compact flash card, getting the install just so, installing my old applications (Mainly Amos Pro, Directory Opus 4.12CU and PPaint, plus magazine freebies from a stack of old floppies).

Of course, I stumbled upon Amiga.org after googling something or other Amiga and here I am (lovely website BTW) :)

The danger is I'm having so much with fun with WinUAE on my laptop I may not get the flash card back into the A1200...:roflmao:

Cheers, All!

-Peter.
