RTC schematic or ...
« on: January 19, 2011, 04:50:30 PM »
Does anyone have a schematic, or artwork for a pcb, for a RTC, that will work with an Amiga A1000? I could also use a board that works with the Microbotics Starboard II expander (it only has one 2Mb card in it).
A2000 GVP 40MHz \'030, 21Mb RAM SD/FF, 2 floppies, internal CD-ROM drive, micromys v3 w/laser mouse
A1000 Microbotics Starboard II w/2Mb 1080, & external floppy (AIRdrive)
C-128 w/1571, 1750, & Final Cartridge III+

I think the Comspec AX1000 2 MB Ram Expander also contained a Clock Chip. I'll do a little research and get back to you.

Hello I was wrong, the Comspec AX1000 doesn't contain a Clock Chip it's the Comspec SA1000 (SCSI adapter) that does.

Looking around of other RTC's for the A100 I found this link:

http://www.jschoenfeld.com/home/indexe.htm

Jens has a Clockport Adapter for the A1000. I've never used it since when I used the A1000 I either used the Sa1000 and later thee clockport for the Rejuvinator board.

I do have Schematics for the SA1000 Board but they are in very rough shape as there are internal documents never released to customers.

Unfortunately part of the docs is in German. Edit: English doc is in "jtime.txt"

You can find it in the "EchtzeitUhr" directory of the archive.

I don't know why my searches didn't produce this hit. This may well do the trick. Many thanks. These days it's easy to translate text using Google - so that isn't a problem.
Thanks again...

@shaf - the clockport adapter is another game altogether, but thanks for the thought...

Don't know if this will help but here is a link to photos of my A1000 A-Time. It does work. You could almost make a PCB from the pictures.

Sure like I say, I don't know if it works, so if you want to pay shipping (can't be much) it's yours.

I think this is a "Pacific Peripherals" item ? Just PM me with ship details.

This is dead simple to make if you know how to make pcb boards.

http://amiga.resource.cx/exp/atime

Comes with program read it on page.   I dont mind making one if I can find the  spare time.

How much would it cost if you made one for me?

@TheGoose

If you still have that RTC let me know.
