I do not understand. If you need IDE, why don't you just use the IDE from your mobo instead of messing with the catweasel? Besides, with the catweasel connected to IDE, you can't use IDE splitter anymore.
About the clockport connection, double check the cable pin 1. I have not used mine since i dismantled my A1200 tower, but i think multidisk.device has to be loaded from the harddrive because the catweasel has no ROM and is not bootable (unless you have a device called Kywalda or something like that).
I would like to have a CD, an HD an LS-120 (usable only with OS3.9).
With OS4 I cannot use an IDEFix splitter (my story in another post) so I was looking a way to use a clockport controller for the LS120 (any suggestions?), but you already know I understood bad about the use of my catweasel...
Today I decided to test it connected to the IDE channel for two reason:
1. to try a final test (more easy for me)
2. I do not have a cable to connect directly the mobo to two 40 pin units and I hoped I could use the Catweasel... but it's worst than with the IDEFix splitter...
anf anf anf... a big mess...
Now:
1. I found the Catweasel work but it's not usable the way I hoped when I bough;
2. I have no cheap solutions to use the LS120;
3. I have still to buy a cable or an adaptor...
