Taking a page from ElPolloDiablo, here is a poll that I think will have a more interesting reply...;)

This is primarily hardware minded and for the present, AND YOU CAN CHOOSE MORE THEN ONE ANSWER!!!!

Amiga stuff? Used or free to a good home.
PCs? One, two, or three steps down from the best available and then pushed via overclocking and other enhancements.

My latest HW buy was a new, compatible SATA Sil PCI card. Next in the shopping list are a PCI USB2 card (when USB2 drivers for OS4 will be released) and an audio card to replace my Soundblaster 128.
AmigaOne XE - AmigaOS 4.1 - Freescale 7457 1GHz - 1GB ram

Online shop is convenient. In 98 you could get Amiga gear cheap in Australia, but now people are fighting over all the scraps. I imagine a lot of Amigas got taken away in the free council clean ups we have here.

I have only ever bought one new computer, and that was an acer aspire way back in '98. All my amigas and pcs were either used or I built them.
