Are you a wealthy Amiga user?

If there is an Amiga item you want, money is never a barrier for you. Or do you really have to choose carefully and often settle for something less useful or less powerful?

The options are to limited in this poll.
You don't need to be wealthy to own whatever Amiga gear you want. Just check frequently the known sites and hit it :)
Apart from that, except from the wealthy, you forgot the EPIC category "El'Cheapo" !!!

It is not just whether you can afford buying amiga parts, but also if also if you can justify buying amiga parts. When I first came here I was all crazy about the Amiga and childhood memories made it easy for me to spend quite a good amount of money to get my A500+ up and running again. However today I can't justify buying an accelerator card for my A500+ at around 200EUR to 300EUR when with the same amount of money I can buy a new motherboard god knows how many times more powerful then the A500+ with that accelerator card. I do not mean this as a bad thing. Just want to make my point that justification is sometimes more troublesome then affordability.

I thought about more options, but there is really a lot of categories to cover everyone, so I decided on just a simple poll.

I could ask: What percentage of your computer and smartphone budget do you spend on Amiga?

My vote would have to go for dumbest poll ever. Not only the question itself, but the idea of sharing my finacial status on a forum site. Not just this but people who really have money tend not to talk about it.
Near as I can tell this is where I write something under the guise of being innocuous, but really its a pot shot at another persons/peoples choice of Amiga based systems. Unfortunately only I cant see how transparent and petty it makes me look.

Sorry has to be said, but your polls are always really badly thought out.   Never enough choices to cover even the most basic possilbe common answers.

an odd poll, I wouldn't consider myself poor but I'm certainly not wealthy so I dont know how to answer you poll?

Put it this way I dont know if I can justify spending £1,500+ on a Amigaone x1000, I think I might be able to save up that amount, but dont know if a hobby machine is really worth it specially when I would be spending more on it than I spent on any computer I have ever owned, so i just dont know if it really worth it, specially with vat and fuel going up I have a feeling this year going to be a bit tight on money, but i do hope still to get a OS4 machine this year, if I had more spare cash maybe a x1000 could come my way just have to see how the year plays out.  Does that make me wealthy?

I'm just recently out of college and working a fairly low-paying job (because everything else about it kicks ass ;),) so I'm by no means a wealthy patron of the Amiga arts. On the other hand, I'm not a huge collector or a hungerer for power, so I don't actually need that much money. Every piece of my Amiga setup was had for around or below $100, and the rarest thing I own is just the DKB RAM expansion for my accelerator, so I haven't really had to pour tons of money into it.
Computers: Amiga 1200, DEC VAXStation 4000/60, DEC MicroPDP-11/73
Synthesizers: Roland JX-10/MT-32/D-10, Oberheim Matrix-6, Yamaha DX7/FB-01, Korg MS-20 Mini, Ensoniq Mirage/SQ-80, Sequential Circuits Prophet-600, Hohner String Performer

While I am by no means wealthy, I do usually find a way to own the Amiga gear that I really want.  So given the limited choices in this poll, I had to choose the wealthy as the better of the two.

Pretty much, this.  If there was something I *REALLY* wanted, price really doesn't factor into it.  I've owned several thousand dollar computer components before, and could again.  If I really wanted a Cyberstorm system, it's well within my grasp.  I just know I wouldn't really use it for much, and that money would be better spent elsewhere.

So, while I could buy any part I wanted, I'd need to have an actual use and purpose for it that couldn't be accomplished much better and easier by other methods.  ("I always wanted one" doesn't really cut it.)
