I agree with StevenJGore. The best thing to do, is to realize that the front-bezel of most cdrom devices fall into two categories: 1. removable, or 2. flat.
If they are flat, one can simply find an old drive-bay cover for an a4000 and use an exacto knife and some superglue to doctor it up. If they are removable, then it will depend on what it looks like.
In the case of the "pop down doors" of some cdroms, there isn't much that can be done (save for maybe cutting out a "door slot" in the cover.
