Wanted: Boxes and manuals for various games and apps
« on: December 24, 2010, 06:37:00 AM »
A bit of a weird request maybe, but I am looking for boxes and manuals for a row of different amiga games. Disks are obviously okay too, but I am not too fussed if they are defective, missing or just untested.
Manuals must be included. Some box wear is okay.

As a note, if you have manuals on their own, without box or disks, I am likely still interested, particularly for the titles in bold. (mostly RPG and strategy stuff)

I am after box as well as any documentation that came with it for the following games:

(games in bold are high in priority)

Agony
Alien breed
Alien breed 2
Alien breed 3D
Alien breed 92 special edition
Apidya
Assassin (regular version)
Battle isle
Battle isle 93 / Moon of Chromos
Black crypt
Breathless
Cannon fodder
Chaos engine
Civilization
Crystal dragon
Death mask
Deep core
Disposable hero
Dominium
Dune
Dune 2
Eye of the beholder
Eye of the beholder 2
Fears
Fighting spirit
Gloom
Gods
Hired guns
Historyline 1914-18
Ishar
Ishar 2
Ishar 3
Jaguar XJ220
K240
Legacy of Sorasil (Heroquest 2)
Lemmings 2
Lethal weapon
Lords of the realm
Lotus 2
Lure of the temptress
Nemac IV
Perfect general
Perihelion
Populous
Project x (regular or special edition)
Qwak (if this was ever released in a box)
R type
Reunion
Ruff n Tumble
Secret of monkey island
Sensible soccer
Settlers
Sim city
Slamtilt
Space crusade
Space hulk
Speedball 2
Supercars 2
Superfrog
Syndicate
Testament
Traps and treasure
Turrican 2
Turrican 3
UFO Enemy Unknown
Ultima 3
Ultima 4
Ultima 5
Ultima 6
Virocop
Voyage of discoveries
Walker
Warlords
When 2 worlds war
Wings
Worms (regular or DC)
Xenon 2
Yo joe

Other manuals:
Deluxe paint IV (AGA version) or V
Final writer 97
Books or documentation on a music tracker program

Other bits I may be looking for:
A pair of CD32 gamepads (original or competition pro, tested only)
2 button joystick that will work as 2 unique buttons in supported games like Turrican or Alien Breed. Tested only.
Sega controllers that you have tested on an amiga and will work as 2 button controllers.
external CD ROM drive and IDE buffer interface
or
Squirrel SCSI kit and external SCSI CD ROM drive
Amiga compatible printer (tested and preferably one where its at least reasonably possible to hunt down cartridges still. Might be a tall order)

Magazines I am looking for:
Various issues of amiga format, amiga power, CU amiga and amiga world.

If you have box and manual for other games, feel free to contact me, though the list above is the main stuff I am looking for, with items in bold being priority

Suggest a reasonable price. Im not loaded, so if a bunch of you offer at the same time, I don't promise to buy everything in one shot or right away.

I think I might have some spare manuals lying around. I know I have a dpaint manual but I do't know if it's 3 or 4. I also remember having a blue Amos folder. I'll have a dig around and let you know if I have anything from your list
May I ask why you want them is it just for your collection or is it to up the price of your games on ebay?

nah, never sold anything on ebay :)

Two reasons:
One, I have a load of games, particularly some of the strategy games, that Id really like to play, but I can't figure out.

Two, I want to have a "retro" bookshelf next to my amiga, with some of this stuff sitting on it.

Could someone make a PDF of the DPaint V manual?  It would such a great resource for the Amiga community to preserve this.  There is a text-only version online, but it's missing the useful images.  There is also a DPAINT IV PDF manual floating around online, but V has some new features.
Music I've made using Amigas and other retro-instruments: http://theovoids.bandcamp.com

OK just had a quick look and noticed that I have some missing items. I've recently moved so I'm not 100% sure about them. I know I have an Amos folder somewhere and can't find the Dpaint manual I know I have.

However I have found the following from your list:
Cannon Fodder
Worms

I also have the following if you're interested:
Wizkid
Hook
Theme Park
High Seas Trader
Jungle Strike
Simon The Sorcerer
Desert Strike
Flight Of the Amazon Queen.

They are all the manuals. No boxes or discs. I'll have a better look for the others when I have the time

I'd be interested in manuals for Desert strike, Lotus 2, worms, cannon fodder and for sure the Dpaint AGA one.

Where in the world are you located, and how much would you like for them?

Since I've got an AmosPro manual but end up looking at the one online at the Amos Factory website, I'd be willing to part with my printed one.  Check your PM or make me an offer.
