It doesn't show they are alive at all.  It's a stolen, copywritten script which was there last year.

What does surprise me is that they bother to say "Merry Christmas", two weeks early, when everyone here would prefer honest Amiga Inc news such as;

- "we're about to be shut down by the sheer number and amounts of our debt

- "we're insolvent and thanks to Bill, Barry, and Randy, our employees won't actually HAVE a Christmas for their kids"

- "yes, we actually did fraudulently blow well over 4.5 million and can't actually produce anything."

- "there really is NO magical investment coming.  Going into further debt costs us nothing anyway, since we'll have to file bankruptcy eventually.  Until then, we just haven't filed bankruptcy because we
a) enjoy screwing with the community at this point, seeing what sad little people you all are and

b) we don't want the name to be available to anyone who could actually have done something with it."

Hell, most of us would prefer ANYTHING -- including silence -- other than a meaningless, capricious "Merry Christmas" statement.  The $150 they now owe me (not including the T-shirt) would be a start.  I find "Merry Christmas" rather than substance to be insulting.

Well, I guess since we all know that "on schedule and rockin" is Billshit, and that Barry "I've got a sheep fetish" Moss is an incompetent toadie, maybe this is all they could do.  We know for a fact that Ray can't even SPELL "Community".

Sorry, not feeling particularly forgiving or gracious after three SOLID years of lies (see court documents), fraud (coupon/sCAM anyone?), and stupidity ("we can milk money licensing the name to death while not actually DOING anything") from the Bill and Fleecy sheep show.

While I'm not particularly religious, Friday is D-Day.  Let us pray that the Honorable Judge Lasnik is able to see the best course of action as to end the incompetent fraud and deceit that is Amiga Inc..  May he further find cause for criminal charges against the management of Amiga Incorporated in the misappropriation of both investor capital and community investment.

Amen.

it works in Opera.

and I told dave to do this in MorphZone, so don't be surprised if it happens there too. but he may not want to do that if it doesn't work in amiga browsers.

It's quite possibly a "goLive" type of thing using this source or similar.  I haven't heard from or seen HMetal in a while, it's possible that he's still around though.

Wow! That's quite a reply, considering it was just a little graphic display on a web page. I guess some people will use just about any excuse to dump on AInc.

A baseless accusation.  Check the date on the current code on altan's site and notice the date of last modification.  When and where I downloaded the script (in 2001 I might add), did not have the copyright notice on it.

Furthermore..  I did, at the time, do a search to see if there was a copyright notice elsewhere.  I could not find any and didn't know about altan's site, until today.

I believe I originally got this script from hotscripts.com but I'm not 100% certain.  What I am certain of is that it was from a "Free scripts" site and was downloaded "as-is."  I changed nothing, nor did anyone else at Amiga as no one else has access to modify the code.

However, to be fair, I have added the current copyright notice from altan's site to the code at amiga.com.

P.S. Next time, a simple email to webmaster@amiga.com might be surprisingly responsive in correcting oversights like this.

Wow.  I guess I hit some sore points.  Sorry 'bout that.  I think this is where I silently skulk out of the room.

For what it's worth, I like the snowflakes.   :-D
