Hi:
This will be a short thread, but I want to know:
Why to put a HD with more than a transfer speed of 30Mb/s (that's the one of my CF HD)? Even the Fast Ata MKIII can't give higher transfer speeds than a theoretical maximum throughput of 16.4MB/sec
Does it make any sense to have higher transfer speeds on the HD?
I've found that if you want something faster than a CF and cheaper than it (for that speed) there's this:
ItemKingfast consumer grade 2.5inch PATA SSDInterface 44PINS IDE/PATA (1.5Gbps)
Nand flash type MLC
Capacity16GB
Performance Max transfer speed 1.5Gbps (150MB/s)
Max read transfer 70 MB/s
Max write transfer 40 MB/s
Electrical Power voltage 5V ±5%
It costs only GBP 49,99 , the same that a Sandisk 16Gb one (with 30Mb/s), and it's IDE, 44 pins.
You woudn't have to buy the Cf-Ide adapter even.
What do you think?
