-HD Repair - Checksum errors

Hello,

Last night i was running Quaterback tools in optimizing Volume, in any A4000, after 2 hours the computer working in that There was a power outage thousandths of a second or a second (i guess).. but that was enough for interrupt the work and shit all..  :(  .. After that in the startup secuense show many checksum errors..
If i try to repair with the same Quarterback tools, in which each file stop and request approval to repair (clicking a window!).. and you know.. that take  many time in any 4GB HD:insane:  .. then annybody know if exist any program to repair this in the HD, making it more automated and fast?  :angry: or the best way for repair that kinds of errors its with Quaterback tools?
Any suggets, help, recomendation..are welcome..please let me know..

have you tried disksalv? old but may be helpfull.

you might want to get a UPS(uninterruptible Power Supply). save you alot of problems in these situations :)

Ok..

I could repair with Disksalv.. but by some reason its not booting.. then i think maybe need Validate the Device..then.. wich System file its AOS 3.0?

If you are using the standard FFS, then if you leave the disc alone for a while the operating system should validate it, it may take a long while but the hard drive light will eventually go out when its finished validating.  this is how I remember things anyway.

Yep, just leave it a while and it should validate itself. The safest way I've found to deal with checksum/invalid errors is to copy everything to another disk, format the partition and copy back. These errors tend to come back again and again if you try to fix them, in my experience.

The thing is, the HD its not booting... if you boot the Computer from any WB diskette, you see the Device, but if you try to open the Drawer "System" then the Computer try to open the Device it is trying to finish opening all content without HD Moves..
Exist any way to make a bootable again, with format the HD?

The last trick could be a quick format and then undelete with for example DiskSalv. But try first if Disksalv could read it without the format.
