I need help with my Amiga 4000
« on: December 03, 2010, 03:03:53 AM »
I removed a Cyberstorm MK II 060 board from my Amiga 4000 and installed it into my new Amiga 3000T-040. I put the original Commodore 040 board back into the Amiga 4000, but now it will not boot up. Are there jumpers on the motherboard that need to be set? If so, how are they set? Also, I noticed that there are 3 smt caps that are mounted backwards. They have leaked a little bit. Would this keep the 040 board from working, or is it the jumpers on the motherboard not being set correctly?

Set the jumpers on the 4000 to external.  They would've been set to internal for the CSMKII.
3 Commodore file cabinets, 2 Commodore USB turntables, 1 AmigaWorld beer mug
Alienware M14x i7 laptop running AmigaForever

I only see one jumper for that, J100.  I think it is a clock jumper.  So, should that be set for ext ?  Are there any other jumpers that need to be set to get the Commodore 040 board to work?  Thanks for you help.

J100 and J104

I've never seen them used separately, they always go together as far as I know.

The manuals at:
http://amiga-manuals.npage.de/
could help ID jumpers & locations. It is a great site that I find very useful.
