How to get in touch with UAE programmers?
« on: November 26, 2010, 07:47:02 PM »
Hi, is there any official channel, forum or e-mail for making bug reports to the programmers of UAE (or more specifically WinUAE)?  I think I might have found a minor issue and I'd like to let them know about it (or have the issue clarified).

I went on the UAE and WinUAE sites but there wasn't much there in terms of contact info.  I did e-mail an address listed on the WinUAE site, but I'm not sure that was the correct procedure.

Thanks.
Music I've made using Amigas and other retro-instruments: http://theovoids.bandcamp.com

Toni is usually in "English Amiga Board".
Look for him in the "support.winuae" section.
And while you're at it, ask him to port his emulator to a real operating system. Windows doesn't count as an OS. It's pure crap and having the best Amiga emulator running on the worst OS ever is just painful and sad.

Don't do that. Toni will ignore you. ;-) (And despite Linux being free and Mac OS X being readily available, the market still says Windows is the best operating system. Funny that.)

EDIT: And to stay on topic, be specific in your bug reports. Toni responds very quickly to detailed, intelligent bug reports. Not so much to "it's broken."

macos = Sports car, expensive to run and nobody knows how to fix it when it breaks down. The sales man told you not to bother about the lack of an alarm, because nobody seems to break into them so they must be safe.

linux = dune buggy, cheap because you scavenged parts from the scrap yard but when it falls apart you get to keep the pieces.

windows = ford, not that expensive, mostly boring, pretty much starts every time.

Windows isn't perfect, but it's closer than anything else.

Hi,

Windows is more like a chevy, you know like a rock, and we all know what a rock is,
something that is umoving usually found on the side of a highway.

Don't insult ford like that
