Ok, update:

It will boot into 'safe mode' with the #### key held down.
When I put the MacOS install disc into the drive, it gives me a command line. What do I do now?

Also, I've tried booting off the CD by holding down C and D at startup, and holding down C at startup, but then it boots with the extensions and the screen just goes black. Can I actually boot of CD with this Mac?

Help!!!

I like Amigas

Command Line?  EEwwwww! Not good.

CD ejection:  From desktop - drag to trash and drop or combo Apple + E.  Or pin hole at last resort.

What version of OS 9 are you using?  OS 9.1 may be OK, but 9.22 is a no go .

Problem with clones : Apple Statement -
Non-Apple computers with a PowerPC processor (clones) may work, but are not tested by Apple and are not supported.

LowEndMac

LowEndMac may have some of the answers you seek as my knowledge of clone support is poor.

Classic Mac OS can be fun and cool as long as you don't think PC!   :-P

I think Apple licensed MacOS to run on Mac clones (the open 'Common Hardware Reference Platform') for a short time, but then freaked out because they weren't making as much money that way, and stopped licensing for the CHRP boards. Motorolla and Power Computing (maybe some others?) made Mac clones for a short time.

At the time Apple killed CHRP off, there was a version of Windows NT in development for it, which was cancelled.

I used this old 030 mac laptop for a while. The stupid thing didn't have a floppy eject button.

With Macs you just drag the disk icon to the trash, it then ejects, or that's how it works with Zips, CD ROMs snd DVDs etc.
AKA ED-209 on IRC...

Yep.  I always thought that was the most un-intuitive thing for a supposed intuitive GUI.
Time to move on.  Bye Amiga.org.  :(
