I will be writing a guide on installing each of the components of our upcoming packs so people can simply add parts of it to their own installations if they don't want to install the whole distribution. In fact I want to write a whole book full of guides on how to do things with the Amiga and make it free to download.

Maybe you could write your book and then get people to donate a small sum of their own choosing via paypal and then they get the book from you via email Cammy?

I'm sure most of us would be willing to donate at least a couple of quid to help you out.

I'm working on two packs, one for moderately expanded Amigas and another for low-end systems. .

With an abundance of 500s (plus) and 600s out there if you could get these to work on OS2.x that would be amazing. I'm using a custom 2.1 on my A600 but a barebones OS someone can just install from a 1 or 2 floppies on a carboot purchased machine would be excellent, if only for the resale value it would add.

I can image a perfectly designed attractive  4 colour 2.x based system running stock 1MB (optionally hard disk) with optional CF0: would be ideal... I'm running something like that :)  with some stock games and apps thrown in on a second disk for the fun of it. Stick some nice labels on those disks, a printed txt file or PDF and you have a distribution. :)
A600 2MB Chip, 4MB PCMCIA, 11MB Fast, ACA-620 OC 680EC20@25MHz, RTC, 512MB CF
A1200 - 2MB Chip 8MB Fast, MTEC Viper 68030@42MHz MMU, 68882 FPU, RTC, 1GB CF
AmigaKit A600GS
Retro Games A500 Mini
Atari 520 STFM - 1MB, Multiface ST.
Commodore 16 - 64K Mod, SD2IEC Drive
Commodore 64C - 64K, SD2IEC Drive

While I will make the iconset and separate components available for someone to make their own 2.x disk, I don't want to focus on it at all. I have a few A500s and A600s and they all have Kickstart 3.1 in them (some still have 1.3 as well on ROM Switchers).

The whole Amiga experience is better with Kickstart 3 instead of 2, and barely uses any extra RAM if any. Kickstart 3.1 EPROMs can be picked up so cheap these days, or you can flash them yourself if you have the hardware. I don't mind if someone wants to make a 2.x version, but I'd rather focus on one for A500s and A600s with 3.x ROMs and provide instructions on how to acquire the ROMs. If anyone needs a hand getting some they're welcome to send me a private message.

The idea of the smaller Workbench is to be able to run from floppy with the option to install it, so it should be pretty close to what you want.
