You can´t get any cooler than the software of the 80´s. Everything today is just footnotes to a great legacy. Which however doesn´t mean I don´t enjoy reading the footnotes. There are certainly some better programs today, but back in the day DeluxePaint, Aegis Sonix and F18 Interceptor simply blew your mind.
BTW. some C64 stuff is pretty cool as well. Anyone remember "Final Cartridge III"?

I agree, nearly everything had wow factor and drew you in. But I will say I have been wowed recently too. e.g. The Sims No. 1, Medieval Total War, and Battlefield Vietnam (great theme poor gameplay).
You can't forget a few 90s classics like Myst for example.

I voted AROS because it has the potential to be an upgrade to AmigaOS Classic on the original Classic Amiga hardware.

I voted Aros even though classic is cooler because of the original Amiga hardware.
It is hard to choose.

Hang on a minute while I don my fireproof gear.... :nervous:

Dare I say it, just in case It may cause offense or upset someone but I voted Classic Amiga OS for the simple reason being that I have thousands of pieces of Classic software, less than 100 PowerPC Amiga OS software, around 10 bits of Morphs OS stuff, absolutely zilch Aros software and UAE well I guess you could use most Classic stuff on that but I've never tried it... :)

(Retreating now to the safety of my nuclear bunker, fully stocked with a lifetimes supply of Vindaloo & some air fresheners... :biglaugh:)

I didn't vote, because I think AmigaOs isn't that cool any more. Classic Amigas need a new OS with a modern GUI, because AmigaOs is hopelessly behind the times.

Yes, that's why the first thing I do when I buy a new 65 Mustang is pop in an all new Ford Engine...
Then I gut the dashboard and replace it with all kual LCDs and computers!!

That's how I treat my classics!!

;-)

OK, I don't...

Classic Amiga for me..

I think they are all cool but I also do not consider anything post 3.1 as Amiga, merely Amiga-compatible (Which is why i didn't vote in the other poll).

However, I voted here for MorphOS just to piss off anyone who doesn't like it.

Incidentally, that appears to be Scalos, not Workbench ;)

You have to love that double-height-aspect topaz 8 font. Well, I know I do... http://www.amiga.org/gallery/images/810/1_retrotopaz.jpg
