WANTED: parts for my 4000
« on: November 08, 2010, 01:52:19 AM »
Hello. I have a video toaster 4000 that I bought a couple of years ago. I was hoping on getting some good deals on a few items I need to get this thing working (ive never seen it run :( )

*Keyboard
*Mouse
*Scandoubler/FlickerFixer (hoping to find a good deal on this)

Unless someone has a good 1200 lying around.

This machine has the toaster and flyer cards installed, a S-video card installed, and a few other amiga-speak items that I dont remember (superbuster).

Actually, I dont know how much these things are worth but I'm just going to put it up for sale. I need some money pretty bad, and although i'd love to spend money trying to view whats on the monitor, I just cant afford to buy the scan converter and stuff that I would need.

You can probably get a monitor mouse and keyboard pretty cheap.

Cheaper than a flicker fixer, that's for sure.

You can use not only the 4k keyboard, but a 2k/3k keyboard with an adapter.
Any Amiga mouse will work, but a new one for just a few bucks (<$20) is good idea.
A 1084 is a better monitor for a toaster. You don't really need a flicker fixer.
And since the 4k has only one video slot, it goes to the toaster.

Where are you? I have been looking for a used (read cheap) flyer.

Also, most flickerfixers will disable the Toaster.

ToastScan or Indivision are the only two I can think of at the moment.
