Amiga.COM back as if it was never gone!
« on: November 01, 2010, 11:26:59 AM »
Amiga.Com is back.

Bizarrely, it is exactly the same as before apart from the 'news' about CommodoreUSA abd the 'ecstatic' Barry Altman!

It's even still got the 'Fleecy World' flash graphic. I just thought of XeoNeos next title for AmigaAnywhere - 'Fleecy and the Psycho Taxi Driver'.

Bill McEwen is mentioned in the press release for CommodoreUSA - obviously the deal gave them enough money to cover $70 annual hosting fee.

Strangely, I find myself wishing CommodoreUSA and BillM luck in this venture. It would be supremely entertaining and hilarious if this venture was a wild success. The Commodedore Amiga x86 would be teh true Amiga and AWN/Amigans would be the imposters using a clone OS - nothing to do with teh real and genuine, true and authentic Amiga. Hell, I could even see myself buy a CommodeoreUSA machine myself - they are kinda cute! It would be cool if they sponsored an Amiga flavoured Haiku distrubution - now that would be cool.

Careful, I'm not seeing much positivity in this thread ;)

edit: What the hell is Altman smoking. 270,000 actual comments/requests and 5 million page views on his site? LOL! As if, there probably isn't 270,000 people using Amigas/prepared to purchase them in the whole world including classic Amiga users/buyers.

What an absolute nob jockey this Chinese furniture seller come 'saviour of Amiga' is.

I always liked Gramps there in the background with nothing but his beige tower. "In my day we computed without monitors, and we LIKED it!"

Is it just me or does nobody in that family even look related?. It doesn't even look any of the images where taken in the same room!. It's like someone took some scissors to an old Sears catalog and made a collage.....

Tension found the reason, it's up for sale so they needed to make some kind of a presence online.
