Hi,

Is there anyway to get xtreme racing to run at a decent speed under winuae?

I have a Athlon 3200+ and cpu usage sits at about 35% when running winuae which itself says is running at 50fps solid. xtreme racing however gets about 6fps even in 2*2 mode. Ive tried tweaking uae settings myself and used the aga games config from AIAB but no luck

Any suggestions?

works fluid on my a1260/66 ... dont know about emus and i dont care..

Ultimate XTR is btw out, the cd version....worth a check...exellent game..i LOVE it....

use yer amiga dood ...

well yes I get 25fps out of the 25mhz 040 on my ppc in 1*1 2/3 screen size on my 28" tv but would like to play it at my computer desk on my pc thats all :)

yer saw that cd on ebay, may get it although i have about 100 tracks for xtr that i have downloaded anyway :)

used to play xtr constantly when at uni. Best computer game I have ever bought. Just started playing it again as I have a working 1200 once more. Not put the latest patch onto it yet though after downloading it on PC. I have the first upgrade on there at the moment where the computer cars stopping shooting each other. Did they fix this in a later patch? I have v1.1 Beta to try out so maybe its better in that.

Ah I remember telling my parents that the £220 I bribed out of them 8 years ago for my blizzard 020/28mhz with 4 megs was to help my uni work, document writing etc, more truthfully was the fact it made xtr a damm site quicker than the 020 14mhz with no fast ram   :-D

well u can email me for my special version , the game is free now, but the Ultimate XTR is not..

i have 1.2 update (from 96) in it so its legal and with over 200 tracks and over 20 new cups and leagues i have made....just in case if u are interested..

;)

i know there is alot of peope who love this game but there is manu who hate it aswell, kinda weird...anyway this and slamtilt made my amiga time just about perfect...oh and i am still 100% amiga....cool eh? :)

hmm slam tilt. Just tried that and it runs 100% perfect in winuae, dammit have to go to pub tonight though! :) it even swaps hi/low res fine. I can only presume that the chunky planar stuff xtr does is too much for winuaes current aga emulation code
