What amigas are you still looking to get?

I was shy of saying X1000, because AmigaOne is not considered Amiga by many. But since others daid it before:

I don´t plan to buy any additional Amiga, except maybe the AmigaOne X1000. This may sound strange to some, since I never owned an AGA-machine. But I think no classic box would take me far beyond what my Amiga 3000 can do.

You guys talking about monitors "blowing up"... I'm sure they could have been repaired

That reminds me, my Commodore 1960 Multisync blew up over 10 yrs ago.

I loved that beautiful work of engineering, it could handle any PAL or VGA signal thrown at it.

I'd love to own one again.

My 1960 blew up too.  And my 1950 blew up.  They each only lasted 6 years or less.    Yet all my 1084S monitors still work to this day, 15+ years later.

Wouldn't mind an A3000 for the styling. Other than that think I am happy with what I have model wise, unless a cheap A2000 1mb chip ram mobo turns up on scumbay.

What I would dearly like is an ICD Ad-IDE internal hard disk adaptor to fit in my A1000 and a nice CSL B5000 030 accelerator with 4mb or 8mb 32bit fast ram module too. OR a 14mhz 68000 accelerator.

There used to be these ATX PC tower/mini tower cases that looked 95% like the OTT sized A4000 case, if I find one of them again I will probably tower up my A1200 and get an adaptor to use a spare A2000 keyboard with it or something.

Save2600; you want a set of A10 speakers? Really? Sure, it's a nice item for an Amiga fanatic, but by all accounts they sounded Terrible....

I suppose you could use the speaker housings, and put in decent speakers... :hammer:

As for monitors, I really never had one fail on me.. so I can't say. I will say that every TV that I ever had  that broke on me, I was able to get repaired.


After thinking about it, I'd really like an upgraded A1000...

Hmm, maybe a NTSC A600 mother board. I'd like to make a machine for classic games. I would make a "console" machine out of it and hook it up to my big LCD TV in the family room. Envision a mini G1200 spray painted flat black.

And an apartment to go with it after my wife kicks me out.

Yeah, just for the sake of collecting I'd like 'em. The 1962 monitor I have has no built-in speakers, so was thinking that would make a good match up. I wasn't even aware Amiga had marketed their own external speakers until recently, so the "newness" of that revelation seems kinda cool to me.

And yeah, I know what you mean about wanting a nice upgraded A1000 setup. Oh wait, this one's mine, all mine     lmao

I've used or owned at one point in time every model except the A1000 and CDTV.
I've owned an A500, A2000, and A1200.

I'd like to be able to afford something modern that run AOS 4.

I'd love to get my hands on an A4000T fully functional with VGA card and flicker fixer. It won't happen though and if it does, the board will just die on me in a couple weeks.

And why IDE and SCSI ?
I would disable the IDE right away with a good SCSI controller.
Certainly if you fit a Cyberstorm in the 4000T, nothing like a few 10K disks and DVD/CDROM drive.
 
But the 4000T is always hard to find, certainly in most cases the door is missing or damaged.

its just the costs of SCSI drives are exceptionaly higher than their IDE counterparts

Pretty much just NatAmi or some other upgraded 68k Amiga clone. I already have a nice 2500 setup with some room left to upgrade, if I feel the need, and the high-power stuff (4000 & PPC hardware) doesn't really hold any interest for me. I would like to see clone hardware in a laptop or netbook form factor, but until then, I can get a workable framerate in UAE on my Eee
