Btw, doesn't the PC have an utility to handle CD+G?
Hmmm... there is 1 I know of it costs as much as a 2nd hand CD32 & needs a CD+G compatible CDRom drive (rare)
Best solution is to image the CD with Diskjuggler (with a drive that supports RAW read which is most modern writers (Lite-ons r good)), then mount the image with Daemon Tools. Rip each track into a .bin using CDRWin (RAW read & CD+G need to be on in options). Then (quite complex this ain't it :-)) convert to MP3+G using
MP3+G ToolzYou can play the .mp3/.cdg it produces using a free plugin for WinAMP :-)
I only half worked this out myself, I got started by reading a lot of karaoke forums, none of the solutions worked for me so I tinkered :-)
BTW if that is too much of a pain, buy a Cyberhome CH-400 DVD player (50UKP @ WHSmiths) plays CD+G, DVD, DVD-R, DVD-RW, DVD+R (Don't have a DVD+RW to test), SVCD, VCD, SVCD with VCD headers, SVCD on DVD, MPEG files on data CD/DVD, Does slideshows from jpegs on disc, MP3, Audio CDs & a partridge in a pear tree :-)... oh the thing is tiny as well :-D
