What about some productivity software?  A decent word processor, spreadsheet and presentation program are sorely lacking.  Did you leave that out of the poll purposely?
Wait. People actually use those things? I mean, besides because the mucky-mucks at the office said everything has to be handed in in Word format?
Computers: Amiga 1200, DEC VAXStation 4000/60, DEC MicroPDP-11/73
Synthesizers: Roland JX-10/MT-32/D-10, Oberheim Matrix-6, Yamaha DX7/FB-01, Korg MS-20 Mini, Ensoniq Mirage/SQ-80, Sequential Circuits Prophet-600, Hohner String Performer

I guess I am a die hard, since I still use my Amigas for graphics work (along with my Windows machine). But software is really dated for the Amiga.
A good browser is at the top of the list, but we could use almost everything you can think of. As much as I like the Amiga, it has slipped to my second computer these days...
A2000 GVP 40MHz \'030, 21Mb RAM SD/FF, 2 floppies, internal CD-ROM drive, micromys v3 w/laser mouse
A1000 Microbotics Starboard II w/2Mb 1080, & external floppy (AIRdrive)
C-128 w/1571, 1750, & Final Cartridge III+

Yes, hence the reason why most people view the Amiga as an antiquated toy for fanatical hobbyists with too much time on their hands.

If we had an upto date web browser, we could even use Google docs.
Of course, I voted for a modern web browser for 68k & PPC that doesnt require as minimum a 060 or PPC and a ton of ram!

Chaos Engine 3, A DVD Maestro clone and yes ...a more up to date browser. For graphics at least we have GIMP on Amicygnix. A 68K GIMPalike? That would be nice too. Let's face it, the list is endless. However, my vote goes to making a new RPG toolkit, to allow non-coders to bake some RPGs. TBH game making toolkits as a whole would be fun. If it's done right award winning games can still be made on Amiga. It's a shame Darwinia, Defcon and Uplink are not Amiga games, they show just what can be done with moderate computing power. Having said that, I appreciate all efforts made for new 'miggy software. It takes some real drive to make that sort of effort.

Okay, I will code an RPG toolkit into Total Chaos AGA just 4 u :)

I have also been planning to create a new Vegetarian unit (or statistic) or something based on you.  I wanted to call it "Tripitaka" but I have no idea what that actually means so I was then leaning towards giving it a darkly mysterious name such as "Vegetarian".

Vegetarian*
The Vegetarian refuses to attack or eat any animals but it deals a lot of damage vs. helpless vegetables and minerals.

The Vegetarian is greatly feared by Rocks, Trees, Walls, Plants and Machinery.

When a Vegetarian makes 3 kills it becomes Triptaka the Veggie Hero.

Or something like that. :)

Only trouble is that all my spare gfx are dudes with swords.  We will hafta come up with a gfx that fights with a fork or spoon.  Or maybe a lawnmower.
Wanna try a wonderfull strategy game with lots of handdrawn anims,
Magic Spells and Monsters, Incredible playability and lastability,
English speech, etc. Total Chaos AGA

LMAO, I'm flattered!

Tripitaka is a traditional term used by various Buddhist sects to describe their various canons of scriptures as well as the name of the monk in the TV martial arts adventure series "Monkey".

Oh Man, I'd also say we need 'all of it' LOL!

Definitely, a modern web browser of 68K machines is needed...:hammer:

I know, people think I'm nuts for still doin' 3D rendering on my miggies.....

But I'd love to see a new 3D package for the Amiga... ideally load/save LW and Imagine objects/scenes, RTG and PPC support, AREXX port, network rendering, IK, particle system.... Maybe different rendering techniques could be offered... Radiosity, anyone?

Then all I need is a few network cards for my miggies... :)

I agree.  I want a decent Word Processor (my personal preference would be for a Final Writer remake that's been brought up-to-date).  I still generally would rather do my writing in Final Writer on WinUAE than in MS Word.

Does anyone know if any of the current 68k Amiga browsers are open source. I fancy having a go at either improving or writing one myself... :)

AWeb is open source, I think http://www.greyhound-data.com/gunnar/aweb/ is as close as you get to the sources currently, as http://aweb.sunsite.dk/ no longer has it.  http://www.xs4all.nl/~yrozijn/aweb/index.html appearantly has sources.

I'm quite sure that there are newer sources somewhere, but I don't know where :(

My personal "most wanted" is an updated "ROM-able" kingcon for 68000, still - I think Cosmos is fiddling with it, but I don't know if he managed to pull it off yet :)

I voted Other for programming environments.  The others won't be possible until we get this show going on the right feet.  Then I can use the programming environment to write games with!

I would love a working browser for a 68k machine OS3.1
I miss being able to download files directly to my 3000T
