hey Mobby

When we refer to FREE as in beer in reference to the old amiga motheroboard jumper, it means NOT FREE.. so incorrect usage!

Congrats... u can put a pic of yourself and call yourself CTO of Scotland Commodore inc!

Now you just need to buy the Amiga name, put up a website with random pictures from the internet, promising a new era for the Commodore in Scotland, and you're ready to go :)

If you know something in webdesign you could even appear to be more serious than CBM USA ;)

Sad, but true. lol :roflmao:

I do see that http://www.commodoreusa.com seems to be parked atm or for sale.  Perhaps buy that one next time... and re-direct to trashcan.com or something.

if you OWN the domain you can do whatever you want with it.
If your "renting the domain" then I would ignore it

I knew things get around fast on the net, but it seems everything that you type suddenly appears in all sorts of strange places...

Found these at a site I'd never even been to before stuck between two news items about a major fire that happened where I live...

and even weirder this stuck between a story about battery hens & Susan Boyle...

http://www.boggin.co.uk/Scottish%20Life/West_Lothian.php

Just realised how sad the town is where I live when something I have typed here becomes news... no wonder we drink a lot here... now pash me ra whisky... hic... :drink::drink::drink::insane:

You should announce new products like the Haggis 1000 and the BlackPudding 64!

What we\'re witnessing is the sad, lonely crowing of that last, doomed cock.

Indeed,

Or you could maybe announce products like:

Tarmac 4000
The Postage Stamp 500
The TV 1200
The Radar 32

In fact, just take any of the following and add "32", "500", "600", "1000" etc...

Logarithms, Electromagnetism, the decimal point, fingerprinting, ultrasound scanning, MRI scanning, the hypodermic needle, electrocardiography, Penicillin, the refrigerator, the flushing toilet,

... It's not just haggis that we Scots invented!

And Buckfast is from Cornwall, so it doesn't count!

;-)

AndyC
Sarah Palin... seriously?

I've been trying to work out how I could make all the software and source code I've written over the years available to anyone who want's to use it.

The only method I've found so far is an online data storage site called MediaFire. I've added a links page onto the site for folk to download for free anything I put on it. However when I try to download some of the sample WHDLoad slave files I've put up, here on my imac they download but with the extension .txt added to them.

Was wondering if anyone knows of a better online data storage site or if there is a way to fix this. I don't fancy paying MediaFire the money their asking to go advert free if the downloads don't work properly.

Anyone got any advice or ideas, it would be greatly appreciated... :)

Cheers :drink:

Franko

IIRC there was an Amiga factory in Scotland.  Think it made A1200s.

You should get a picture of the factory and put it on your page.

IRISH WHISKEY... blasphemour...

There is only one true WHISKY and that is SCOTTISH... :)

All those fakes & imitations need to have an E in the word. True connoisseurs of the water of life already know this... :)

But you were right... I was robbed... :(
