Amiga 600 accelerator disabling?
« on: September 16, 2010, 11:27:00 AM »
I'm looking at buying an 030 accelerator for my A600, but would like backwards compatibility.

Out of the different versions of Apollo, Viper, and so on, I am aware that they have jumpers on board. Do any of these jumpers allow disabling of the card to go back to 68000, Perhaps it's possible to disable them via software?

The only way I found to disable my Apollo 630 was to unplug it!

The Apollo 620 (if you don't mind an 020) has jumpers to disable the whole board or Ram so you can fit switch/s.

Not sure on the Viper, never seen one.

Also Jens has been working again on the ACA630, this sounds very interesting, I think this is a good question to ask him if its supported in his design.
