Hi I'm Charlie D an my first Amiga was a 500. I remember how it changed my life. I used it all the time it was Fantastic! I gave it to a friend back in the late 90's. Now I have a 3000 YEA!!! and put a Video Toster board and a TBC board. I would like to get on the Internet if anyone can tell me what board I would need.  Thanks it's great to be here.

Honestly rather than hunting down any specific networking hardware. Get a Deneb USB controller and enjoy cheap networking devices and a host of other useful hardware.

Check some of the Amiga hardware vendors (AmigaKit, Vesalia).

Hey Charlie, great to have another Amiga user among us! The best network card you can get for your Zorro III Amiga 3000 is the X-Surf card. This will give you RJ-45 Ethernet, two Clockports and a 3.5" IDE port, so your A3000 will also gain the ability to use cheap IDE hard drives and DVD burners so you won't have to go hunting for SCSI drives.

You can get them in America here - http://www.softhut.com/cgi-bin/test/Web_store/web_store.cgi?page=catalog/hardware/networking/new_x-surf.html&cart_id=4079292_9499

@Cammy
I have to agree with CSixx - the Deneb is alot more usefull than XSurf, really.
With Deneb you get cheap ethernet, cheap USB sticks, cheap USB disk drives etc.

The X-Surf is a cheaper option than a Deneb, I was not wrong in suggesting a second choice.

X-Surf is the first one that came to my mind as well since they do seem to still be available, but I wouldn't pay either X-Surf or Deneb prices unless I really needed to get online.  I'd stake out eBay for the odd C= A2065 or Hydra Ethernet boards, they can be had in the $50-$70 range occasionally.  They're oldschool though, you'll need a cheap media converter (usually AUI to RJ45, but there are some BNC only models out there, those would be my last resort.)  Ariadne is another original card, but they seem to go for more when they come up.
