Ham Radio Operators, QRZ?
« on: September 11, 2010, 10:34:50 PM »
Any other Amateur Radio Ops around here? I would hope I'm not the only one.

Call signs? Rigs you have? Modes you work?

What about Shortwave enthusiasts? You're welcome to the thread!

I'll go first...

Call sign: KB2MOB
Rigs: FT-847, FT-2800m, VX-5R
Modes: HF, VHF/UHF. Starting to get back into digital modes.

OK, who's next?

OK, found another! a1200! Howde!

I've operated under several VK1 & VK2 call signs but don't have one right now ($50 bucks a year to ACMA for being inactive was too much).  But with winter coming I've pulled my old Yaesu FT897 out of storage and am looking to set up an antenna, probably just a G5RV HF dipole to start.

I'm waiting for two years to expire on a call sign I want, then I'll be back on the air...

What we\'re witnessing is the sad, lonely crowing of that last, doomed cock.

F4GEC
just got my licence one year ago.
I haven't yet practice because of the lack of time and money.
But still willing to broadcast and listen to the radiowaves :)
Cheers.

Woah - hell of an interesting first post on Amiga.org on a fairly obscure thread. :)

73's F4GEC de KC2HSM

(very...no...extremely inactive ham myself)

SWL dork by trade actually. Was heavily involved with the Pirate radio scene for many years. :)
