The Hooters a one-hit wonder? Not around here!

Nah... on this side of the pond The Hooters only ever had the one hit "Satellite" back in 87, think I was the only one who bought it though... :D

Pity, I liked that tune and after hearing their other stuff now I missed out on some pretty good songs... :(

Still now you've posted em I can erm... borrow the audio from them shall we say... ;)

But now it's time for some real music... :)

Used to love watching Alexei Sayles "Stuff" in the late 80s/early 90s the guy was just as daft in real life as he was on the telly... :)

The Swinging Cats & Mantovani... :)

Only ever got to see them live once at a Specials concert back in 1980, they only
had 5 tunes to their name (Mantovani was the only one released on record)
so they played Mantovani 3 times to make the set last a wee bit longer...:)

Shame really as this was such a lively little ditty... :)

Good Gawd...

We don't often see you round this neck of the woods... ;)

You can't come wandering in here and just say "Various pieces of house music"... :(

Im in a house right now listening to me music but that doesn't tell anyone anything, you need to at least post a link or video so the rest of us can enjoy it... :D

I mean the genre of House music. Of course there are various kinds, and they're not called House anymore.

Anyway, I'm just listening to House music on some net radio stations, so it's nothing special. Here's the link: Discover Trance

Tried the link but I couldn't get anything to happen on this old iMac I'm using... :(

Anywhoo, all this modern stuff you youngsters listen to these days House, Flats, Office Buildings etc... would probably just rattle my poor wee brain which is still stuck back in the late 70s & 80s with Punk & Ska (now that's what I call music)... :D

Think I'll go and listen to some Gracie Fields singing "The biggest Aspidistra In The World"... :)

Erm... on second thoughts maybe not... ;)

Hmm, odd. I assume you tried one of the links that allows you to play the stream in an audio player?

Ha ha, you might be right, I'm actually only 34, and have missed the 70s (being born in '76 doesn't count ;)) and early 80s. House actually got started back in the 80s, and has changed quite a bit.

It's not the only thing I listen to, though: Classic FM. I love classical music :)

Gawd born in 76 eh (they created me in 64... boy do I feel old saying that)... I was in secondary school at that time (not counting the times I was expelled) and there were no such things as home computers or even them old black & white table tennis consoles... :)

so when your were 3 years old I was going to concerts and listen to these... :)
