Ahhh... Back to 74 today, back to the days when I was just a 9 year old kid... :)

3 day working weeks, power strikes, candles lighting the shops, standing with
your mum in the queue that stretched for miles outside the bakers shop in the
the hope of being able to buy a single loaf of bread and 6 rolls for the 2 hours
that they switched the power back on... :)

The days when Scotland always made it to the World Cup always to be knocked out
in the first round, the troubles in Northern Ireland dominated the news
but you couldn't watch it anyway cos there was no electricity... :)

Perm hairdos, Flared trousers with 6 button high wastbands, Triple decker
platform shoes that made you a foot taller, hand me down clothes (even
though I only had three older sisters)... :)

Life was simpler back then, Happy days indeed... :)

Today I am actually listening to some of the music that was in the unigine demos I downloaded to test on linux. The data files are just zip files and the soundtracks are vorbis, so easy enough to play. It makes quite good chillout music :)

Arrh Quadrophenia, I saw that again recently.  My fav scene is when they have the house party and the guy does scooter donuts on this tiny lawn. LOL, the angst.   That and the final scene... did he survive? will there be a sequel? How many more tiny lawns must be laid waste?

Just finished listening to Angeligue by mike oldfield. quite haunting.

Ahhh... Picard, how's Captain Janeway these days, has her neck grown back ! (always felt sorry for that wee woman, having no neck must be awkward...:))

Oddly enough I was just listening to Tubular Bells last week, it's the only Mike Oldfield record I own, bloody good though... :)
