Hi folks, I've been wondering if anyone out their would like the source code & files for the WHDLoad games launcher prog that I wrote. (there was a thread here a while back about it but I can't seem to find it anymore !), but quite a few folk on this site & others said they would quite like the chance to use it.
It probably won't be an easy task to take on as it was written for my own personal use and has only been successfully test on my various A1200 set ups.
If someone who can code in 68k fancy's having a go at creating an install script/package for it so that others can use it on their systems and would like to have a go at making it usable on other Amiga set ups (ie: A500/600), get in touch and I'll send you the source code & files needed.
I'll also help out where I can as it was really written for my own particular set ups and thats where the real problem is, I can write in 68k no problem, but writing install scripts and testing on other systems is not my thing.
I have only tried it on my various A1200 setups and as I no longer have an A500 or A600. Hopefully if there's someone with access to all these machines and who'd like to have a go at getting it to work or test it on these machines, then I'd be more than happy to supply you with the source code and stuff.
To be honest I just don't have the time or inclination to spend anymore time on it as It works fine on my A1200s and just thought if anyone out their would like to have a look at it and hopefully be able to make it usable for other folk or even just for their own use then I'd be more than happy to supply the source code & stuff for you to have a go at.
It will not only launch and run WHDload games but also games that just require degrader progs such as Tude and games that are already HD installable.
So if you want to have a go at it or think you can make use of it yourself let me know and I'll send you the appropriate files.
