Has the community gone crazy? Paranoid? Or is it just another day in the Amiga Community? Read my Op Ed on the AmigaZ.org website, and let us know what you think. Join the discussion.

Folks react like this becuase of past actions. With the Amiga past and current events form future events. The histroy is riddled with epic BS. So I can understand this reaction when every positive move foward is met with several steps back.... and lawsuits.

"Someone jumped on someone else for a media release because it contained the words “For Immediate Release”, not realizing this is a standard thing in just about ALL media
releases."

A standard thing, really? Can you show us a selection of links to press releases, made by companies not affiliated with the Amiga, that contain "For Immediate Release"? I can honestly say I don't remember it being common practise, but I'm happy to be proven wrong.

"For immediate release" makes sense when a goverment or company official hands out info to the PR-guys but those would surely cut that out before presenting it in public....

Putting it into news-items controlled by the one writing the news-piece looks more then a bit weird ......
1. Make an announcment.
2. Wait a while.
3. Check if it can actually be done.
4. Wait for someone else to do it.
5. Start working on it while giving out hillarious progress-reports.
6. Deny that you have ever announced it
7. Blame someone else

Only the smallest percentage of business and technical participants involved in Amiga since 1994 have been competent and capable of any gains. The remaining large majority of half-hearted attemps, failures and posers have followed ...IMHO... a what's become an almost predictable and bizzare script.

Again IMHO.... any entrant to the Amiga community appearing to follow this well worn script has already proven a lack of vision and professionalism required to be taken seriously. Then what you find on the forums is the usual gang debating... are they following the loser script? ... are they not? ... they are, but this time will be different.... all following it's own well known script.

I'll let you know someday if I see a real change in the story line.
