C64 MCC - Retro Gaming
« on: September 02, 2010, 06:58:34 PM »
I came across this...

http://s318412817.e-shop.info/shop/page/2?shop_param=

from Arcade Retro Gaming.

I have a couple of questions if anyone can help.

1. Have you used/tried this?  If so how was the customer service/order process for you?
2. Is it me, or does $200 seem a little steep for a C64 emulator?

I know its not Amiga related - but if this is worth it and is a success - could we see an Amiga Version?
Thanks,
Mike

Can they fit Minimig (or another Amiga core) into a 16k gate FPGA?

I can see how they could fit the C64 in there, and the 2600 is also coming apparently. Maybe they'll do a Sinclair Spectrum too.

I guess the price does include licenses for the games and a few accessories.

Frederic stated it is an adapted minimig with tg68 core. and the ecs/ocs core uses about 60% of the fpga. I think they had yaqubes aga core and were testing it. they are using the altera cyclone 3 whereas minimig is xilinx.

Hi,

I came across this thread :-).
Yes, I am working on adapting the Minimig core to the MCC. I already demoed it during some show.
Right now, the core takes ~13000 LEs. So it fits in the FPGA.

I do not have Yaqube AGA core but I had the chance to see the Replay board with the AGA core and to talk with Jakub. Really nice and very talented guy indeed.

Stay tuned.

Frederic
