Ten Year Anniversary of the First Public MorphOS Release
« on: August 01, 2010, 09:13:39 PM »

Today marks the ten year anniversary of the very first public release of MorphOS, which ran exclusively on Commodore Amiga computers equipped with phase5 PowerPC accelerator cards.

The MorphOS development team would like to thank all MorphOS users for their on-going support and interest.

Good Lord it's been 10 years? I'm getting too old for this stuff... I'll down a beer at some point in celebration.

Happy birthday, so just three more years and MorphOS will be a teenager...

Are you suggesting that it will mature?

If you are trying to draw a parallel with humans, then the converse is probably true

I can hardly believe it's been 10 years already.  Just seems like yesterday I was reading all about MorphOS 0.4 in AmigaActive, then going straight to eBay to hunt for a PowerPC card.  Exciting times....

I finally got myself a Mac Mini off eBay for MorphOS! and so will be joining the club.

I've put off upgrading to a next-gen machine for many years. MorphOS on Mac hardware is finally the clean, cheap solution I've been waiting for - plus the demos I've seen on Youtube have been just outstanding. I'm looking forward to setting it up at the weekend.
