On my MediatorPCI 4000 there is a 66MHz crystal infact. And another thing. Hyperion got a SharkPPC developer card. ELBOX claims that AmigaOS4 will work without problems, but will it? Sure! Its all up to Hyperion now.

With SharkPPC, your Classic Amiga turns to a G4 PPC machine, with AmigaOS4 support! Enjoy!

.... and infact, I have an 28MHz crystal on my A2000, and you can find ones up
to 80MHz on 040-cards .....

Elbox claims lots of things, thruth is (allmost) allways a different matter.

Good to see that there is still a lot of faith in the guillable.

Doesn't that contradict earlier statements, that it would run the A1-version without
problems (unchanged even). And don't forget that Hyperion have allready buried
themselves in work for atleast another 2 years (outstanding OS4-feature/bugs,
game-licences and so on).

Nope, with (a working ....) Shark, your classic (how I hate that term) will be reduced
to some useless PCBs only there to stop the think from falling apart (accessing
the chips through PCI, the Voodoo-mem-window, and Z3/A1200-slot ?

Gotta be kidding.
1. Make an announcment.
2. Wait a while.
3. Check if it can actually be done.
4. Wait for someone else to do it.
5. Start working on it while giving out hillarious progress-reports.
6. Deny that you have ever announced it
7. Blame someone else

heh whats this about then?

pci2agp ..dont make me laugh now :)

we all know that our current mediators is clocked at 33mhz and that from sharkppc and up it will be 66mhz , so dont waste your money on a pci2agp card + an agp board for now as the fact is there aint any card working atm (sharks) , if hyperion has one or not atm that remains to be seen , for all i know they have the sharkppc proto which has been floating around in amiga companies since 1999 and yes that doesnt even work.

i wont get my hopes up for this, but i am sure the shark will rule if and when it comes , but if it will run os4 or not well i dont thrust elbox about their "IT WILL WORK WITHOUT ANY PATCHES" and i am sure alot of technical people agree with me on this :).

kronos:sorry but i think u should stop visiting mediator threads as you OBVIOUSLY want everyone to forget amiga1200/3000/4000 and start using a pegasos instead , you should face the fact that not everyone wants to jump ship.

cheers
Whats up with all the hate!

@lempkee

Got any factual arguments against my post, or is it just that you again can't stand
pointing the obvious flaws/misconceotions in someone's daydreams ?

Not to take away from Elbox's official posting, but aren't some PCI video cards faster than AGP anyway. there was a big argument about this a long time ago when people were asking why we should have AGP in the first place (thinking it would and still could become as dead as VESA Local BUS)..

AGP Plus is coming anyway right? And what about PCI Express (that gets a lot of Video Card makers excited)..

I can see this now a PCI express card from Elbox..
