No, I had original versions that came via school.
MS DOS 5 trough 6.2 where all original.
Windows 3.11 was original
Windows 95 CD was OEM
Windows 98 CD was OEM
Windows XP CD was OEM
Windows Vista was OEM
And now Windows 7 is also OEM installed.

I remember in the early 90's I could never get onto the computer because my dad was always busy downloading pirate software from bulletinboards, so it's very possible I was using a pirated copy of windows/DOS back then :)

I got a free License of windows 2.0 and an old dos version, cant remember what version it was tho, same went on when I bought a 386 16MHz. So I had legit versions untill windows 95, I got my first version of windows 95 from a BBS, it was the floppy version. I got my hands on a W98 license allmost for free.

Then I did stick with w98 untill Windows XP came, then I did use a pirate version because then I did not use Windows much, I mainly used Linux and dident use Windows enough to justify the license cost.

I skipped Vista but now have a computer dualbooted with W7 pirated without any troubles to use Windows update and no fails at WGA checks. But I do not use Windows much, I tend to keep using Linux since its what im most famillar with on x86/x64 architecture.

PC DOS -OEM (DOSSHELL was very cool on my DOS-only Blue Lightning. I used to switch between Vistapro & Doom just to make Mandork jealous) ;)
MS DOS - OEM & Retail
Windows 3.1 -OEM
Windows 95 - Retail
Windows 98 - Pirate & Retail
Windows NT (various) - Retail
Windows XP - Pirate, OEM & Retail
Windows 2000 - Retail
Windows Vista - Pirate & OEM
Windows 7 - Beta, RC & Pirate
I've never paid for Windows & I've never pirated Amiga OS in any form. I'll get rid of my pirated Win7 soon, it's only a matter time before one of my handy contacts gives me an OEM disc. :)

I still have 2 sets of MS DOS 6.22 floppies and Wolfenstein 3d (version 1.4). They are the only non-Amiga floppies I own. :D

I voted NO, because I didn't use MS-DOS or Win3.x at home.
Someone has to state the obvious and that someone is me!

No way. I want from Commodore to Mac. DOS was utterly boring to me.

face it... a lot people ran pirated win 3.x because they had to for work or school reasons ... not because they wanted to ! it was an utter piece of junk !

myself I was partially lucky... first job... no choise, at work we ran pirated copies :/ ... at home I stuck to my Amiga 2000 :D ... second job provided me with a Mac :) So at least at home I stayed clean :D    (these days: Mac OS)

On my 8088 bridgeboard I ran DOS.

On my A2386SX bridgeboard, I ran DOS and only Windows 3.1 in order to run Word 2.0 and only because I had to turn in my documents in Word format.

DOS was only used because I had to run Borland compilers for all my programming classes.
I think, Therefore - Amiga....

That's like choosing one evil over another. I'm not so sure you selected the lesser evil. ;^)

In fact, Apple is looking more and more like big brother, every day.

Linux/Android for the masses. ;^D

I have to agree up to a point, what apple is doing on the phone/pad front does NOT get my approval  at all. I just hope pure Mac OS stays clear of that.

I have a Nokia from work (and detest/refuse a personal mobile) .. but if I had a choice mine would be an Android based phone.

Y'know...

Yes, yes I did.  But here's the weird thing: after the fact, with all of the MS OS'es I have used - DOS 6.22, Windows 3.1/3.11, Windows '95, Windows '98, Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Vista and now Windows 7, I have at some point gotten a legitimate copy.

Starting with XP, I got it just because I got tired of all of the WGA/keygen programs and "preactivated" versions being basically humongous rootkits masquerading as the OS :P

The copies of DOS, and all Windows prior to XP I got after the fact - some of them, I have no idea how I wound up with them.  My OEM copy of Windows 98 SE?  Nope, no clue where that came from.  Same with Windows '95.  I was looking for a blank CD-R one day and opened up a jewel case and there sat Windows 3.11 on CD (Dell OEM).  No idea how I got that.

I bought Windows 2000 a few months ago at a used book store for $10.  In box, with jewel case, original receipt, everything.  Very neat (got a copy of Office 2000 with it for $15, but sold that with a PC I threw together to make a few extra bucks).
