caligari does not work

Dear Friends:

I got complete caligari 24 for amiga. Manual and original disks (no dongle, does it need one? )
all in good condition.
When I boot caligari, the interface appears but is all locked and is impossible to do anything.
I use an amiga 1200, 030/50mhz and 32 mb ram.
What is wrong with caligari ?
Why is it locked and nothing works ?
Please help me !!!

Hi, I used to have this prog. I don't ever remember it needing a dongle but I do recall when I installed it to my HD I had the same problem.

I remember that I ran SNOOPDOS and discovered that the installation had missed out a file. I can't remember which file it was (it was a long time ago) but I do recall that after discovering the missing file with snoopdos, I just copied it of the disk onto the HD and it worked fine.

If you've got snoopdos try running it before you start Caligari and you might discover it was the same problem I had.

I bought the program long ago it worked fine on my amiga 500 and 2000
I had a 3000 for a short time and it didn't work properly with 3.1 roms it worked fine with 2.04 and 1.3 roms in my amigas I never had any accelerators I know the program was written to work with 68020 with 68881 but not sure about 68030. And I was never able to get to work with UAE.
