All 103 regular issues (Volume's 1-11) and 3 special issues have now been posted. Also a couple of different books Amiga World published.

6.33GB for everything.

With that in mind please take it easy when downloading. Bandwidth has increased to 50 to 120GB a day.

Maybe someday I can get a dedicated server but for now please take it easy.

Thanks

Enjoy

I am only missing a few issues of Video Toaster User and have already started scanning them.

I also have a bunch of Avid, Breadbox and Keyframe issues.

In time they will all be online.

I have posted a bunch of New Tekniques already.

Having these mags as pdf's is a super thing, thank you very much!  Enjoying reading them on my iPad and iPhone.

Why is each issue 800Mb or so? At 4c/Mb that means a cost of $24 per issue to download them.
It would be cheaper for me to just buy them on eBay and scan them myself.
Plus where would I store such gigantic files.
Why can they not be compressed to a reasonable size?

Afaik, its 800mb per Volume, not per issue. As there is around 10-12 issues per volume, I think the average size is quite the norm these days.

P.s. Where can you still get that expensive 'net?

I've got all my issues of VTU scanned... but I opted for lower resolution (150dpi) to save space, and keep them as individual jpegs... Also, I frequently toss pages that are just ads.... but I do have issues 44 & 49.

Aaah!  Nooo sometimes the ads are the best - they give a window into what was available, pricing, etc.

There's stuff I've gleaned from looking at the AW issues that I had no idea even existed, much less is listed on the AHDB and Amiga History and so on.

Oddly, I'm loving the old adverts in these pdf mags.  Nice reflection of what a powerhouse system the Amiga was and the wide scope of available HW and SW at the time.  It sure went to hell in a handbasket in a rapid fashion once people started opting for Windows rigs.

Well, I actually agree with you pretty much. So I kept a set of ads in every few months to act as a snapshot of the market... but until I got my scanner with autofeeder, it was a pain to scan all those ads. The ones in VTU were a lot like the other home video zines of the day.. those huge multipage spreads from places like 47th street photo for VCRs and  toys only peripherally Amiga related. (excuse the pun)

I seem to have lost track of it (easy to do on a terrabyte disk) but I had a 300 dpi scan of the last run of AC's guide to Amiga that I was going to run through OCR software when I got a faster peecee... now that I have one, I'm going to have to look for those files.

mirroring this on bit torrent might be a useful idea.

This is pretty rad though. Goes all the way back to 85. Was this a UK mag?
