Give away or bin it?
« on: July 11, 2010, 02:18:12 PM »
Hello all.

I`m recently come by a number of Amiga items by way of cleaning out my friend`s flat in Tokyo, after he died suddenly.  Being that I used to have an amiga and know what great machines they are, I couldn`t abide wasting the stuff (being an owner of several amigas in the past and still having a 1200 back in England for playing SWOS), and he would have wanted me to give it to someone.  I tried the geek shops in Akihabara but no one is interested.  So I`ve registered on here to offer it to anyone who cares to pay the postage.

Items are:

Amiga 2000 serial no JA2 001010
(containing pleXwriter RW 4/20/20 and a 3.5 floppy drive)

Spare motherboard -
JA 0088100
This item he bought was delivered to his house just days before he died.  Perhaps he even bought it through a contact in the forum.  I have no idea whether he had time to swap over the board with the one in the unit or not.  I suspect not, as it was still well packaged in the the box it arrived in.

Also in the box are:

Hard Disk Controller GX B-V0 8844 (JA 0034707)

And another card with a serial port and 3 slots for memory to clip into.  Serial number I`m not sure about, but it has 9/32 ZPT# 734 on it somewhere.

Feel free to PM or email me about any of it.  Also to tell me what`s worth chucking if its no good!  I have no means of testing the hardware - no power supply, mouse, monitor etc, but I`m sure the majority of the pieces are functional.  Anyway, its free, but I live in Japan, so you`ll have to pay shipping and maybe its not worth it - unless you live here of course.

Cheers,

PW
