GVP-M 4060 Fastram Card Problems!
« on: July 11, 2010, 08:10:55 AM »
Hello All,

This week I bought GVP-M 4060 accelerator and boy I am beginning to regret buying this card. My old Warp Engine was a breeze to install and use compared to this GVP-M 4060 accelerator.

Now I am having accelerator Fastram problems not showing up in Workbench. Only the motherboard ram shows up it's full 16 meg's. Has anyone else had this problem? Is there a jumper I have to set? It's got the full 128 Meg simms (32x4). It did show up when I first installed the card in my genuine A4000T but not now. If anyone can help or suggest something I would really be grateful.

Thanks in advance,
Merv Stent

Are you aware that you have to have special GVP SIMM's?
Standard SIMM's will not work - even if they will fit mechanically.
So have you bought your GVP card with GVP SIMM's or without?

This card does not require GVP SIMMs, standard 72 pin should be fine.
