Subway USB and AmigaAMP

Hi:
Yesterday I received a Subway USB connector from Amigakit. I installed only one of the usb as I don't think I will need another and don't want too much holes in the Amiga.
 
The installations went fast and easy. I haven't seen photos of it installed with the sheilding on, although I've searched. My installations fits like a glove. I don't know if the rest of the people that keeps the sheilding make the same as me.
 
Well, it runs right, reading the USB. The thing is I'm starting to use AmigaAmp to play MP3, as I don't like the others I've tried.
I've noticed I get a message saying I need AHI, at least v.4. I think it's because of the Subway.
I haven't found a version of it, which is the last and where can I get it?

Uhm, what makes you think that this is in any way related to Subway?

Thanks twice. Twice because you solved yesterday a problem I had with AmigaAmp saying it needed Openpci.library (version 1) and as you know you can't find it, but thanks to a post you left I learnt that "In DEVS:AHI there is the emu10kx.audio driver ... which is not used by G-REX1200 , so by deleting this emu10kx.audio driver, there is no more request about openpci.library...".
 
Yes, it's related to the Subway. If I boot the Amiga and open AmigaAmp, I have no problem, no Ahi request and it opens the Mp3 I have in the internal Cd, but if I close it, put a USB pen I have (with a couple of Mp3) the first I have opening AmigaAmp is a message "Can't open ahi.device! Please make sure you've got at least v4 of AHI and that your AHI preferences are correct".
If I then open a project (the Mp3 cd is still inside) I get a message of "No output device available".
 
I'll try with that AHI link, and will have to see which preferences has to have.

I very much doubt this is related to Subway in any way. Try this:
  • Copy one mp3 on the USB to your local HDD
  • Try to open the mp3 with AmigaAMP from your local HDD
You will get the exact same AHI requester. See, it's not related to Subway.

I will try, Piru (I'm cleaning my home), but I get the message of the AmigaAmp when I open it without touching the USB, I mean, I don't try to open any Mp3 file in the USB, I only click open AmigaAmp and get that message..., but only when the USB Pen drive is inside the Usb input.

As I said: I have copied from the pendrive the Mp3 to the harddrive and tried to open AmigaAmp. Yes, it gives the same message, but as I supossed it was I had used the USB port. I taked out the pendrive, did a warm boot and after that I open AmigaAmp and open the MP3 of the hardrive without any message or problem (I see no difference between opening it from the Cd or from the HD).
 
So it's clear it's USB related problem, isn't it?
 
I've downloaded ahisrc 6.0, but I don't see any icon to install it. Ah! It wasn't the one, I've seen another...

I've tried to install (AHI v6 hasn't install icon, so I copied the contents of the drawers to the ones of my DH0, System drive), but AmigaAmp keeps with the same message when I put the USB stick. I think I will search AHI 4.0 that it's supossed to bring an install icon.

No, AHI is installed, as I've installed with the install icon AHI v4. I suposse I must change some preferences, but don't know which :angry:nes...

If I use AmigaAmp without the USB stick and I put the USB stick then while playing a song, after closing it I can open AmigaAmp again without no AHI request and I can play Mp3 from the USB stick.

The only explanation I can think of is that the device somehow is registered as usbaudio.class device and that causes the weird AHI behaviour. Quite bizarre really.

Sorry, perhaps I do not know how to do it (as well as I do not know where is the apostrophe each time I am writting with the Amiga).
 
It appears as FCDF-408A (the name), UMSD, which I think is the volume, isnt it? (please somebody tell me how to use the apostrophe with an english keyboard)

Yes, FCDF-408A is the volume name, and that should not be harmfull.
As for apostrophe, you could try using the program "keyshow" (iirc) to find it on your layout.

Ok, so nobody knows what to do or try?
 
Nobody has installed a Subway and can try opening AmigaAmp?
 
And the AmigaKIt people, can't you say something about it? &BTW do you like my photos?
