Q: Are SD flash memory cards reliable with only 9 pins? I assume they use some sought of SATA interface.

SD and SATA have very little in common (apart from serial protocols) - are there any cards with more than 9 pins? Mine are all the same.

USB is pretty reliable (not to mention capable of higher speeds than SD cards,) and it only uses 4 pins!

My Broadband internet over Cable is very reliable and faster than some SD cards(50Mbps) and that is just 1 big fat pin!
