How do I free some Chip ram?

Hello:
 
I've recently installed a Blizzard 1260 with 128 mb of ram in my A1200 (OS3.9, Sys4AGA, 32Gb CF HD). The thing is that when I open a couple of big drawers to transfer files between them I get the message of "run out of memory, please free some".
 
In some post I read "After you get some more RAM you can start moving things into FAST RAM which will really speed up your system and free up your CHIP RAM".
 
I only have 3 months with the Amiga... what should I do?

In Preferences/Workbench, find the setting "Store images in..." and set it to "Other memory".

You can also save chip RAM by using a lower resolution and color depth on the Workbench screen and not loading unnecessary monitor drivers (ie, move Super72, Multiscan, Euro36/Euro72 back into Storage/Monitors instead of Devs/Monitors).

EDIT: A simpler/no WBPattern backdrop will help, too.

I have to say a couple of things:
 
First: I am writing with the Amiga using IBrowse for the first time... Yuuuuju!
 
Second: I am using a Benq FP71G monitor that I taked from the garbage and repaired changing 3 capacitors, although I do not know much about electricity... (that is what Youtube was invented for)
 
Third: It has been a long time I see you suffering in that situation...Matt_H Shall I call the police to get you free of that thing? Or perhaps you need some water...LOL
 
Fourth: Where is the apostrophe in the keyboard? (And how do I change it from American to English?)
I have tried a couple of things you say: images are stored in "other memory", and thanks, I have reduced images from the maximum to 64, and thanks for telling where are the rest of monitor drivers I needed and did not know where they were.

It seems I already had Fblit (from OS3-9?) , althought I installed it again and later Ftext, and now the chip ram is a loooooot better... from ran out of memory... to around 35% doing the same.

Not with os3.5
Able to "Hide Devices" for the seven Flyer drives thus eliminating the icons from desktop.
Striving to free up as much chip ram as possible for my A4000 VT/Flyer system.
Are there utility/tools that will do this with os3.5? Will try FBlit and FText also.
