Kickstart 3.1 ROMs for the A4000 & A400T
« on: November 26, 2003, 01:49:35 PM »
Hello,

I was  given a Set of A4000T ROMs Version 40.68 labelled U658 and U657.

Will they work in a Towered A4000 or Standard A4000D?

IDE is not being used in either A4000 strictly SCSI Configurations.

Thanks for the Input.

Shaf

@shaf

AFAIK, Kick 40.68 aren't for A4000T but for A4000D.

The A4000T ones, are the 40.70 (scsi).

 . . . i'm not 100% sure but :-)

Ciao

Framiga,

That's exactly what I thought, although the chips are Labelled C) 1988-1998 A400T Commodore International.

I will recheck when I get home and Post the Results.

A Followup on my Previous information.

The Label on the ROM Chips is as follows:

Kickstart V40.68
Amiga 4000T U658 and U657
C) 1983-1998 Amiga International
All Rights Reserved

Thanks

One can only guess.

However, the SCSI driver wont work, and you'll have to use 'workbench.library' from the disks.

What I would do is plug it in to find out!! :)
