A4000 Motherboards for sale
« on: November 26, 2003, 11:29:29 AM »
I got this response from a post I made in the amiga.marketplace newsgroup:

"I have 3 motherboards with various config's.  Basic bare bones board w/3.1 ROMs and 16 Meg FAST ram on board.  Cheap - but it still did not sell at the Amiga show this past weekend in Ottawa!!

$80 for the board (3.1, 16 Meg)
$120 for board/case power supply, 3.1 ROM, 16 Meg (no accel, no disk drive)
$200 for complete 4000 with 3640, 16meg, CD, HD 1.76 Floppy.

I'll be posting them on ebay late this week if there are no takers..."

PM me and I will give you the guys contact info.  These prices are great!  I saw a MB alone go on ebay for around $275.  This guy is asking $80.

I just found a MB last week so I don't need any of this stuff now, but Im sure SOMEONE out there does!

Are they functional mobos? Any drawbacks (battery leakage or anything?)

Are they only for post within the US?

Well, when I usually deal with Canadian dealers, they post in US dollars for some strange reason.  $80 CND would be a steal  :-)

I assume that they work.  I have a feeling that Red will be taking the lot though  :-D  Maybe he is going to open up an Amiga store?

@redrumloa,

No offense, but you are a bit greedy. And that's coming from me! You should give other people (who have no A4000) a chance to buy it! If it was a money game, I WOULD WIN! But unfortanely it seems to me it is first come first served basis, and i have lost.  :-(

Just remember never to play monopoly with him.  I guess the same goes for businessmen as with finacial managers.

I'm sorry you feel that way, but no I don't think it is greedy. An opportunity arrose and I jumped on it. The person selling this stuff actually is a dealer and it looks like I may be able to make a deal with him for more items as long as it's a "big order" I am in a position to make a big order.

Besides I am going to keep at least one A4000 for myself, maybe even two. You may forget that I'm not just a seller, but I am also an enduser.

... This is only the overstock (used of course), we still use our Amiga's on a daily basis -for work and home!

If this oppunity (price break) give others the chance to get into Amiga's then I'm all for it!  Besides, for myself, I can only use 2 Amiga's at a time! :)
