Very inspiring thread, decided to go hunt for emac myself, found a 45 euro emac but it was not the 1.25 Ghz model :(

Maybe tomorrow...

SOM99: Payback works fine. A little choppy when loading, and I have to use the keyboard because it doesn't like my Logitec USB gamepad (can't go up or down), but it works.

@cv643d: It's well worth it, lots of fun, and hopefully the future will only get better in regards to being backwards compatible with those old PPC games.

Does anyone know how do I resize an HFS partition on an eMac? The instructions to dual boot MorphOS with MAC OS X mention Ubuntu Linux but is there a version for Mac PowerPC G4? I don't seem to find one. As far as I know gparted Live cd is only for Intel CPUs as well as Ubuntu. What am I missing?

First go into the MacOS hdtool thingy... disk utils or whatever it is called, and turn off journaling for the filesystem you want to shrink. Then find yourself some linux live CD that isn't way old, and boot the eMac from that. When up and running from the live CD, start gparted and do the resizing. When done, boot back into MacOS and turn on journaling again. You are now ready for booting with MorphOS CD and setting up partitions using the hdtool-thingy of MorphOS.

Thank you! I will do that. I was having problem finding the correct Ubuntu edition and version for a PPC eMac.

I used the "unofficial install" doc myself. It is a great step by step guide.
It included every thing needed. Yes, the link in paragraph five was to unbuntu 9.04 ppc.

It also includes the exact steps to resize the partitions. With screen displays.
Print it out! and follow the steps...it will work.

enjoy,
Michael

Poseidon allows you to produce keyboard events using USB gamepad controls so you can assign keys to your gamepad buttons and play the game with your gamepad, you can do this with emus, games...

Do you know what PPC and RTG games that works on MorphOS?

Earth 2140 works on MorphOS with audio patch. I'm playing it even on Efika.

@Crumb: I thought it did, but looking through it I've yet to find a means.

I don't know if there's any separate patch, but there's 68k AHI updated exe for it and it works just fine on MorphOS. At least earlier you got it from the original authors when asking with email.
