TBC Disk

Help. I have two TBCs, card one is a TBC 1 and the other is a TBC 4. I need them to input video into my PAR video recorder, Every thing is up and running and all I need is the TBC driver software, I have the files downloaded, I need the physical disks, my problem is I have not had any luck with my new Null modem (just got it on ebay this week).
 
Is there anybody out there who could make me a copy of the driver/install disks? I will pay for the disk,shipping and your time (within reason, I know how valueable time is). This has been a year long project looking for all the parts on Ebay and right now I am at a dead end.

I thought those TBCs worked without any drivers.  I guess I must have one that doesn't use drivers or is a "hidden" file somewhere.

I have a TBC-IV and PAR combo working, and I have the TBC-IV software installed, but if I recall correctly, the TBC can be controlled by the PAR software for video capture. I'll take a look later today to make sure, but I believe you only need the TBC-IV software to control the genlock timing and proc amp controls. If you don't need those controls, the PAR software alone should work.

The TBC-IV and the PAR must be connected with a ribbon cable, between the headers on each card. Have you done that? They don't communicate though the bus, so they need that cable.

The TBC-I is incompatible with the PAR.

I have that short cable and have not connected it yet, I could try, My thinking is that the TBC needs to stablize the signal first. If you have the disk, I will buy a copy from you if that is legal, I don't want to step on any copyright toes.

heh, ya might wanna catch a few winks while waiting for the package to arrive, 'cuz once ya get that beast up and running properly, you'll get sucked into a world where sleep has no function.

I assume the A2000 that yer stuffing the VT/Flyer and what not into has 2 meg of chip ram? The VT system environment would be severly limited with only one meg. Even with 2 megs, it's difficult to task out of the Toaster enviroment when there are many apps running. Opening a directory and listing numerous iff frames will run the chip ram down.

Some of things you'll be missing without AGA to fully support the Flyer:
Color croutons. Not a big deal though.
Full screen image manipulation with TPaint. If you don't mind quarter screen painting, then no big issue.
Use of the digital color wipes. These rely on the AGA chip set.

If you have the Flyer drives incased in the A2000, ya might want to look into better cooling of the box. The TBC and flyer cards put off alot of heat by themselves, the extra drives will only increase temps. Post up a couple of pics of your system. Always interested in taking a look at what people have put together.
