Picasso IV and X surf for sale on Ebay

I finally decided to sell one of the best gfx cards ever for the Amiga, a flashing Picasso IV, in perfect condition. I'm also selling one of my three X surf network cards with the well known extra ide controller which does not work with CDrewriters (nothing is perfect). If I get enough money then I may get myself a Mediator4000D so I can use my Voodoo4 32 Mb PCI instead ... if ...
I know it's a kinda shame but I really don't have much time anymore to do the things I loved to do years ago before I became dad (I`m getting old) ... I`m also afraid to lose my job at Ford Belgium because they are gonna kcik 3000 people and even after two months there's no clear view on who has to go and who doesn't. I'm not very rich at all, although I've got a best friend made of pure platina, but I need a bit of money. I have also got several genlocks in my room but don`t know what to do with them. Don`T know hoy to test them ...

I noticed that  :-)

I had a strange question of a guy in Australia. He asked me if I had the cables necessary to use a Picasso IV in a A2000 because the flickerfixer needs to be placed elsewhere. Can anyone give me more info about that ?? Just want to know more about the A2000. Does the Picasso IV needs to be broken in two parts for a A2000 ??

The PIV has a flickerfixer/scandoubler card built onto it, which is about the size of a Concierto, which has to be broken off. It's perforated as much as a circuit board will allow, but it still needs to be taken off with a hobby knife very carefully.

There's a ribbon cable which connects to the PIV and then runs across the 2000, over the power supply and connects to the FliFi/ScanDoubler, which goes in the video slot.

I wouldn't want to, but after it's been broken off it can still be used in a 4000, You'd just need the ribbon cable all the time.
I sold my Amiga for a small fortune, but a part of my soul went with it.

I told the guy that I haven't got such a ribbon cable. First time I hear of it. But there's a lot that I still haven't heard of  :-)

Hi,

Yes, it is true that you have to "break" it in two to mount it in an A2000 (or was that A3000, hm).

I have a PicassoIV (although it's collecting dust inside my dusty dusty A4000), and I have a ribbon cable for connecting the detached flickerfixer.

@Effy

it is a normal flat cable with 2 ICD connectors, easy to build.

How much wires has it?

Ciao

Framiga : no way I'm gonna start cutting a Picasso IV. It's also not for me but for somebody else. I don't have any A2000, just a A4000 and A1200 so I have no need to start cutting a Picasso IV. And also, the card hasn't been sold yet.
On the other hand, thanks very much for offering help.  :-)

Jose : don“t think so, although you can set the memory of the 4 Mb card to 2 Mb. Just look at http://www.amiga-hardware.com/picassoiv.html
