We could add what software we actually bought! :)

Most used:
VBCC and SASC (for it's debugger), WHDLoad,  Amplifier and SongPlayer1.53 (for some eqing on treble / bass adjustment wich is available on others for PPC only)

Favorite:
ImageFX4.5, DPaintIV/V, WHDLoad. Brilliance. CubicIDE is very good even compared to other platforms but I'm too used to a standard editor and command line.

Software I bought:
IFX4.5, Cubic IDE, Wordwordth7.1 (sadly doesn't support 24bit pics), WHDLoad, AOS3.9(! :)), TZero (very good and enjoyable actually but got bored...), Myst.

What is CEd?

Is it still available?

That's why I put this thread in I have been away from the Amiga seen for the most part since 1995 and I'm looking for programs I haven't heard of that might be useful.

oh and my programs:
Deluxe paint III
Pagestream
diskmaster2 (because i haven't gotten used to a better one yet)
Caligari2

On a serious note:

Dopus4 (I hate Workbench replacements!)
Scala MM
Virtual floppy + TransADF
WHDLoad
Hippo Player
OctaMed Sound Studio
Goodbye people.

I\'ll pop on from time to time, RL is acting up.

OctaMED... That held me with the Amiga, there still isn't any real comparable software on the Mac. I do own a copy of OctaMED (later named MED) on the PC, but that really just served as a transition to modern DAW music software.

Hmmm well I purchased Digi-view for my A1000, used that a hell of a lot. Even got the recommended Panasonic black and white security camera and some non-yellow lightbulbs I remember (but then stuck everything in a room with lots of natural light and used it on days with lots of diffuse sunlight). Got an upgrade to Digi-View 4 as well.

Also bought Digi-Paint.

I can't think off the top of my head what else I purchased, I had Deluxe Paint 3 given to me free when I spent about 2000 bucks on my A2000 setup in late 1990.

When i bought my Amiga 2000 in 1989 I bought Deluxe Paint with it. This was my first paint program and was the start of an interesting career.

Now that I have AmigaForever I have to figure out how to use DP with it, but that's for later. :)

Later, I used IFX, CED and iBrowse to write articles, create web pages and whatever. such an amazing system!

oh, yeah Magellan!

Ignoring free software, the commercial/shareware stuff I use most is:
Microdot-II
Wordworth
Turbocalc (actually got this off an Aminet CD, which I got free for uploading something..)
MakeCD (which is free now, but I paid for it)

Honourable mention to Pagestream, Photogenics and SoundFX, which I don't use very much but are invaluable when I do.
