I remember buying a new Amiga 3000 back in 1992 for 1700 Euro. That is alot more than 1700 Euro today.
1700 Euro for a computer is not much for those who want a computer like that. People buy iMacs for the same amount just to surf the web. To pay the same amount for a hobby is alot better in my eyes
The thing is that back in '92, the Amiga was still very much commercially supported and in its prime. It was not a hobby computer.
Back to the present. I cannot accept paying such HUGE amounts of money for what is essentially a very much outdated motherboard in the case of the SAM, and even more for a computer which has almost ZERO commercial support in both the case of the X1000 and the SAM.
The iMac is very much a supported computer, ok not as much as a Wintel PC but still it is very supported.
Maybe its just me, but i think its mad buying these new computers / motherboards, paying so much just for the "privelage" of being able to run OS4.1 .
Then again having said that, i must have been pretty mad spending loads of money buying my A4000T and PicassoIV, so i can understand that there is a market for madness

Congrats on your purchase
